Halp!

I am nearly finished my reading challenge for the year, but I still need to decide what to read for my last category—a book that is more than ten years old. These are the options from my book shelf. Any suggestions / thoughts?

  1. A Clockwork Orange!

    1. I was thinking about it, but I don’t know if I’m up for deciphering a slang language this late in the year.

  2. Everyone should read Mockingbird twice, once in youth and once in later adulthood.

    1. It’s the frontrunner at the moment. Thanks!

  3. Make Mrs. Masson proud and read something by Maggie Atwood? I enjoyed the Handmaid’s Tale, unless you’ve already read it……no, then read it again 🙂

    1. I have definitely read that, and I probably wouldn’t read it again (university English classes tend to suck the fun out of everything). Plus, I’m trying to read what’s on my shelf these days. What are your thoughts from the choices, Sam?

  4. I say Dragonfly in Amber but I’m biased because I’m obsessed with that series!

  5. Angela’s Ashes, Huck Finn, or To Kill a Mockingbird. Loved them all!

    1. Angela’s Ashes is the crowd favourite, I see. Thanks for chiming in!

  6. The tally so far (including Facebook, Instagram, and my mother):

    Angela’s Ashes – IIII
    Hypocrite in a White Dress – I
The Sun Also Rises – I
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn – II
    A Clockwork Orange – II
    Dragonfly in Amber – II
To Kill a Mockingbird – III

So I’m going to go ahead and take the others out of the running. You’re all very helpful in narrowing my choice, but I’m not convinced on any of them just yet.

Don’t be afraid. I won’t smite you. Probably.
