Master of Publishing

The Master of Publishing program at Simon Fraser University is an intense eight month experience wherein the students are taught the ins and outs of the publishing industry from acquisition, editing, design, marketing, and sales. The following projects were all completed during the course of the MPUB.

 


 

Lost Girls LogoLost Girls Publishing – a digital publishing project wherein we were asked to create a digital version of an existing book as well as redesign it.

 


 

LSP Fall Catalogue CoversLofty Swine Press – the fall book project. We were tasked with creating a hypothetical book publishing company a business plan to see it through its first five years. Requirements included a mission statement, plausible books and authors, marketing plans, and financial statements.

Stephen King's "The Shining"Book Design – all of which were designed to fulfill course requirements. None were ever meant for publication.
