Still Life with Woodpecker by Tom Robbins
Too many tangents, but the relevant story line is actually quite good.
-
Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn
Adorable and intellectual, silly and challenging. Probably not for people who aren’t intrigued by language.
-
Struck By Lightning
Manipulation and black mail. All the best things about high school. Add in Rebel Wilson and Chris Colfer and it’ll do.
-
Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs
Hilarious, twisted, shocking, and totally worth it. The movie was less impressive.
-
Crooked Little Vein by Warren Ellis
It’s hilarious and off-putting all at once. Difficult to take in for the perverse manner and difficult to put down for the unconventional characters, storyline, and humour.
-
The Alchemist by Paulo Cohelo
A good read, very compelling, though I probably would have enjoyed it more had it been the right time in my life to read it—a seek and find yourself kind of story.

The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyer
I was team Edward until Taylor Lautner took off his shirt. I switched back when Jacob imprinted on Renesmee. That was weird. Both the books and the movies are deliciously terrible. Definitely a guilty pleasure.
