Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K. Rowling
Wow. Just… wow. At first I thought, “SIX HUNDRED PAGES?!” Now I’m like, “Obviously. Six hundred pages. Totally makes sense.” SUCH a good read. Already reaching for Order of the Phoenix. Another for No. 20 on my challenge.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban by J.K. Rowling
And I thought Professor Snape was mean in the movies. He’s significantly worse in the books. Alan Rickman was very well cast. I love these books. No. 20 on my challenge. Still going.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
I actually think it was better that I saw the movies before reading the books—I know the story well, but I’m still discovering so much. Again, I wish I’d just bought the boxed set. Another for No. 20 on my challenge.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by J.K. Rowling
I should have read these years ago. Phenomenal. I wish I’d bought the boxed set. Also, how great is the new Bloomsbury design?! No. 20 on my challenge. Everyone has read the first Harry Potter. And obviously, the movies are awesome.

Paper Towns by John Green
Not as good as Fault in Our Stars, but definitely worth the read. He has a talent for writing characters trapped between adolescence and adulthood.

Who is Frances Rain? by Margaret Buffie
I loved this book so much that I read it twice in Grade Six and then stole it from my teacher at the end of the year. (Sorry Mrs. Watt.)

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
I very rarely cry. This book made me heave with sobs. On an airplane. In public. It’s that good. Movie: did not make me cry in public. That’s all I will say.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
If this is what it feels like to be in love at sixteen, I’m glad I skipped it and heartbroken that I missed it.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
Loved both the book and the movie, though the movie felt a little rushed in comparison with the book.

Cress by Marissa Meyer
Thorne is my favourite character in the series so far. He’s the comic relief. I’m pretty excited for book four.
