Hated it in high school. Loved it in university. Movie was decent. Simpson’s adaptation was awesome.

Unbalanced. The entire novel was spent leading up to an ending that was wrapped up far too quickly and neatly.

Not my favourite, but still quite good. Like Girlfriend in a Coma, it’s an odd love story.

Brilliant. Disgusting and astonishing that it’s based on historical facts.

Too many tangents, but the relevant story line is actually quite good.

Book: Very charming. A fabulous tale of love, distrust, enchantment and a whiskey loving circus elephant. Beautifully written. Movie: Meh
